CPR

CPR-AED                            $70.00 (4-5 hrs)
AED
(Automatic External Defibrillator) training is available for anyone who wants to learn the next step in emergency treatment. This course combines topics in the Heartsaver course (Child and/or Adult - see above) with the use of a defibrillator for victims of cardiac arrest. Defibrillators are becoming more common in public areas like Sports Complexes, Libraries, etc., and can greatly increase the chance of survival for these victims.  It is the course of the future!

 

 

 

 



 

Heartsaver          $60.00 (3 hrs)  (Group 3+=$50.00/pers)
This course deals with immediately life threatening conditions for adult victims.

-Legal and safety aspects of First Aid
-Coronary Artery Disease
-Signs and Symptoms of: Heart Attack, Angina, Stroke

Heartsaver plus    $60.00 (4 hrs)
Combines topics in Heartsaver (see above) with Child* rescue techniques.

Heartsaver Baby     $65.00 (4 hrs)
This course is for Baby* and Child* rescue techniques.

Basic Life Support    $80.00 (6-8 hrs)
This course is the most comprehensive of all courses offered by the
Heart & Stroke Foundation. It includes rescue techniques in CPR for
all age groups. It is a standard course for health care professionals
and for those who want to be proficient in all aspects of CPR
.

* Baby = Birth to 1yr
* Child = 1yr - 8yrs
* Adult = 8yrs and up

First Aid

Emergency First Aid      $85.00 (6-8 hrs)
This course is designed for those who want to go a step further than learning CPR.
It includes CPR for all age groups but also includes treatment for immediately life
threatening conditions such as:

  • Shock
  • Severe Bleeding

Standard First Aid       $105 (13-16 hrs.)
This course is the most comprehensive of all courses offered. It includes CPR
for all age groups including the topics of:

  • Shock
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Secondary survey
  • Head and Spinal injuries
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Heat/Cold emergencies
  • Soft Tissue injuries
  • Seizures
  • Stroke
  • Diabetic Emergencies
  • Poisonings
  • Allergic Reactions

First Responder Course

44 hours

The First Responder Program is designed for individuals who respond to emergencies as a part of their occupation.  A First Responder is the first medically-trained person at the scene of an injury or illness.  Aside from basic first aid skills, the first responder is also trained in the administration of oxygen, the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and the use of specialty equipment such as a backboard, oral and nasal airways, and many other skills. This course is Ideally suited for security personnel, police, fire rescue personnel, lifeguards, etc.  (includes CPR, AED and Oxygen certifications)
